About Me

Hi everyone, I am Prashant Bhargava and I am from Chandigarh, India. I made my way onto this beautiful planet on 16 October,1986 (yep Libran). Well I am a developer by profession. Exploring my creativity and learning new things is always on my mind. Most of the skills and knowlege I have are self-taught. I completed my engineering in Computers from U.I.E.T. Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2007. There, I learned quite a lot about computers and stuff, but most importantly it gave me some real good life experiences that are beyond definition.

Background

I have always been somewhat of a computer guy so getting into engineering was the best thing that could happen to me with full support from my family. Besides programming I also like to try my hands in designing and graphics stuff that is mostly in Photoshop, CorelDraw and Flash.

I have experience in .Net,PHP,JSPs, Javascript, HTML/XHTML, CSS, MySQL, SQL server and Oracle Databases. Web Development has somewhat become my passion and these days I am bursting with ideas for different types of web applications. I also have worked in Wordpress, Joomla 1.5, Flex. These days I am moving towards agile development so I am doing a bit with Rails these days.

Apart from these I am currently working in Business Intelligence technologies too. Data Mining is getting into my mind and I am planning to combine and create an excellent example of data mining incorporated into a web application that will serve quite a bit for the community.
